VDC Summer Newsletter 2023

It’s been a hectic few months, not least because we’ve now finally – after 26 years - moved premises. Our new HQ is a newly renovated warehouse, five minutes’ walk from Tufnell Park tube station in North London and includes purpose-built offices and warehousing.
It’s a real change from our previous home in a huge five-storey ramshackle office block in Kings Cross. - We’re already experiencing the benefit in efficiency terms – and hope our customers are too! We’re also delighted that, in conjunction with this move, VDC has also acquired a large satellite warehouse in Hampshire to house non-urgent cable stock.
If you’re ever in the Tufnell Park area, please do pop in. We’ll give you a tour and make you a coffee! We look forward to seeing you and working with you again soon.

A focus on…
The dual signal Van Damme Ambicore cable is a hybrid multicore with 2 x AES/EBU 110 Ohm lap screened and jacketed pairs, combined with a 1.5 mm2 jacketed power cable. Flexible, with a comparatively small overall diameter, this cable can be used for power and signal applications such as dual DMX control, stereo analogue audio and AES digital audio. It is ideal for audio, lighting control and presentation use.

Our work with…
The multi-million-dollar Firdaus Studio in Dubai opened its doors last year. During the build, VDC was instrumental in providing a whole host of Van Damme Tour Grade cables to be part of the infrastructure. Based at the Expo 2020 site, now called Expo City Dubai, Firdaus Studio is the only music studio in the region to be mentored by Grammy- and Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman, and Dubai’s only certified Dolby Atmos HE studio. It’s amazing to see.
