To help us implement our growth strategy, VDC Trading is now looking to recruit 2 new Customer Relations Executives to deal with an increasing volume of UK orders, quotations and enquiries to provide the most professional, helpful and knowledgeable customer service that our customers recognise as one of the best in our industry.

The Customer Relations Executive will follow an induction and training programme as well as shadowing the existing team before interacting directly with customers. The role reports to the Global Commercial Manager.
Having knowledge of the live sound, recording, performing or production industries is an advantage or at least having a strong desire to learn in a somewhat quite technical product range.
What you will be doing:

  • Dealing with in-bound calls and emails from VDC UK Customers and provide a highly professional level of customer service.
  • Processing quotations and orders from existing and new UK accounts.
  • Creating job specs for the manufacturing department based on the solution created for the customers.
  • This is an office-based role so the Customer Relations Executive is expected to work from the North London office.
  • Tackling customers’ issues and requests until fully resolved in the most professional manner.
  • Recording all relevant interactions with customers following VDC’s internal CRM process and Sage order management systems.
  • Providing excellent customer support via telephone and email
  • You will need to be a team player as the Customer Relations Executive will be working within the CRE team and close to the sales team.
  • Providing assistance to the pro-active sales team as and when required.
  • Providing the Commercial Manager with regular activity reports.

What you need to succeed:

  • Keen interest or strong desire to learn about the AV industry.
  • Excellent telephone manners and writing skills to deal with call and email enquiries.
  • To be a team player, as we all work as part of a team and support each other.
  • To be willing to get things done, as VDC is very much about providing excellent customer service and solving our customers’ AV requirements.
  • Previous experience in a customer service environment working with technical products is an advantage
  • Ability to demonstrate success in developing relationships in a similar role.
  • Able to communicate at all levels of the organisation.
  • Willing to learn and develop themselves.
  • Be customer-centric.
  • Be really well organised with the ability to prioritise.
  • Pay attention to detail.
  • Have a passion for solving customers’ technical issues in a professional and caring manner.
