VDC has been working with the band directly for many years now. They were called in to work with the engineers to produce a new full live rig and also a modular system to create the mobile studio. The concept was to produce something that could both be transported easily and follow the band around as they toured the world.

As the whole project began to take shape it quickly developed from a relatively simple initial idea into a much more complex project as the ideas flowed between VDC and the engineers with the band.

As with all of these projects the key element is useability and this is what both camps had firmly in mind when drawing up plans and looking at the options. 

Taking shape over the course of several months the project was completed August 2021 but has already been used across a lot of the high-profile appearances including the Glastonbury live-stream and BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend celebration.
