Superstar guitarist Jeff Beck has performed his recent tour using a full set of Van Damme Silver Series Session Grade Hi-Cap guitar and effects cables. The leads were supplied by audio hire and production company Sensible Music and used for the first time at Beck’s Royal Albert Hall show.
Hand made in London by VDC Trading, the cable uses Van Damme Silver Series Session Grade Hi-Cap 125 and is terminated with Switchcraft mono jack plugs. The cable is manufactured with foamed polyethylene insulation, silver-plated oxygen-free wire for both the conductor and screen. The jacket is transparent PVC revealing the beautiful silver-plated braided screen beneath.
Designed to compliment the pickups used with the Fender Stratocaster, The Hi-Cap 125 is specially designed to exhibit a capacitance of 125pF per meter of cable length. For Gibson humbucking pickups there is also a Lo-Cap 55pF per meter option.
Jeff Beck, always a man of few words, when asked if he liked the cables said: “If I didn’t like them I wouldn’t be f…..g using them would I.”
