You can never tell how long an English summer will last but after a couple of weeks of hot weather in London, the VDC sales team thought they would take a chance and throw a Bar-B-Q for customers and colleagues.
Despite the weather turning cooler, and even thunder in the early hours, the evening of Wednesday 24th July turned out to be a great time to be on the roof terrace of VDC House, just north of Kings Cross. Around 30 customers and friends enjoyed a warm evening, fine views across the city, some great food (good work Jurgita and Danny), a few drinks, a few laughs and even some live music performed by VDC technical team’s own Laura and her band Little L Music.
Starting at 6pm, we didn’t expect too many to stay too long but it must be something about this industry we work in as after closing the building up, a select few went on to the pub over the road just in time for last orders …
So thanks to all of our clients and friends that made the trip to join us (some from as far as the South Coast), to all the staff at VDC for helping put the event together, to Mark Hornsby for lending us a PA system, to Little L Music for adding to the atmosphere and to Niall, the Boss, for buying us the lovely gas bar-b-q. This probably saved our guests from eating charcoal and the building from being burnt down.
Special thanks to Sam, VDC’s sales manager, for making a good idea happen.

See you next time.
