VDC is delighted to announce two new appointments to its board of directors
Andrew Higginson has been appointed Chairman of the board where his role will be to provide support, advice and assist VDC as it expands its international and retail operations. Andrew was an executive director of Tesco PLC for 15 years, initially as Finance and Strategy Director, then as CEO of their Retail Services business and will bring a wealth of experience in the retail sector to the company. He is also Chairman of N Brown Group plc and the Private Equity-owned Poundland. He is the Senior Independent Director at BSkyB plc and is a non-executive director of Woolworths (South Africa) and the RFU.
Chirs D’Aguiar has joined the board as Commercial Director and will lead on the commercial development of both UK and international markets for VDC and Van Damme. On a day-to-day basis Chris will be VDC’s customer champion and direct the company’s sales and marketing efforts. He joins VDC following a variety of executive commercial and financial management roles with growth oriented technology companies, including both FTSE 100 organisations and SMEs. He brings considerable international experience gained through business development activities in over 25 countries and is well versed in promoting premium brands into new markets, which will be crucial to the future plans for VDC and the Van Damme brands.
Needless to say, we are delighted to have both of them on board as VDC’s prepares for a huge year in 2013.
